FORMER USP JOURNALISM GRADUATE APPOINTED FIJI TV'S FIRST COMMUNICATIONS AND BUSINESS RESEARCH OFFICER

SUVA (FTV/USP/Pacific Media Watch): Former Review and Fiji Sun journalist Tamarisi Digitaki has been appointed Fiji Television's first communications and business research officer from August 22, chief executive officer Ken Clark announced today.

"We received very good applications even though the position requires skills that are not often possessed by one person," he said. "We are satisfied that the recruitment process used was robust. We are confident that Digitaki will perform well in her new role."

Digitaki holds a double major Bachelor of Arts in journalism and economics from the University of the South Pacific.

A former Review reporter and deputy editor and Fiji Sun subeditor, she is currently the product manager for TransTel Limited.

She previously held the position of marketing research and communications officer in the same company.

Clark said Digitaki would be responsible for the development of Fiji TV information releases to internal and external stakeholders.
